The Papageno House is being developed in cooperation with specialists from the 's Heeren Loo, care centre for people with a mental disability.
It will be a House in which young people with autism can live, work and recreate. Furthermore, along with other young people with autism, they will be involved in numerous activities. The activities and events at the House will focus on integration, which is not limited to their peers. The link to people within their immediate environment is of considerable importance, which is why there will be close collaboration with the De Stichtse Hof nursing home and care homes to be constructed on the same site.
In addition to a small staff of professional employees, many volunteers will work at the Papageno House. Both to supervise the inhabitants and the young people who wish to use the activity centre, and for all household tasks and the organisation of events. |
